Dr Antonino Vaccaro is Assistant Professor of Business Ethics at IESE and Academic Director of its Centre for Business in Society. Born in Sicily, he received an MSc in Engineering (Milan Polytechnic), a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management (IST, Lisbon) and Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships in Ethics and Technology Policy (Carnegie Mellon University) and in Information Ethics (University of Oxford).
Before joining IESE, he served as Executive Director of the Centre for Ethics, Business and Economics at the Catholic University of Lisbon, and as an adjunct faculty at the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. He has worked in consultancy and applied research projects for Volkswagen, Tecnotree, Southern Company, and the Artsana Group.
He is a consultant to the Portuguese Police on projects related to the prevention of money-laundering and terrorist-financing. His articles have appeared in a variety of publications, including: Journal of Management Studies; Journal of Business Ethics; Ethics and Information Technology.
