Antonino Vaccaro-thumbailProfessor Antonino Vaccaro teaches Business Ethics at IESE ( in Barcelona and is Academic Director of its Centre for Business in Society. Born in Sicily, he received an MSc in Engineering (Milan Polytechnic), a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management (IST, Lisbon) and Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships in Ethics and Technology Policy (Carnegie Mellon University) and in Information Ethics (University of Oxford). Before joining IESE, he served as Executive Director of the Centre for Ethics, Business and Economics at the Catholic University of Lisbon. In 2015, the Financial Times ranked IESE as the number one business school in the world for executive education.

Case study:
Kiva  is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world. Since it was founded in 2005, Kiva has channelled loans worth $745 million from over 1.3 million lenders to small entrepreneurs in 83 countries with a repayment rate of 98.66%. The chair of Kiva’s board, Julie Hanna, was one of 9 Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship appointed by President Obama in May 2015.

Katharine Stewart thumbnailKatharine Stewart is the Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability Director at Primark ( She has worked in the industry for 28 years, holding senior retail positions covering Buying, Product Development, Merchandising and Design. In 2009 she took up the newly created post of Ethical Trade Director for Primark, and has spent the intervening years building a global ethical trade and environmental sustainability programme. In 2011 she won a ‘Game Changer’ award from Business In The Community for her work at Primark, and in 2014 was elected to the Board of the Ethical Trading Initiative, a tripartite organisation of brands, trade unions and non-governmental organisations of which Primark has held leader status since 2011. Founded in Dublin in 1969, Primark now has a turnover of nearly £5 billion, with over 50,000 employees and 270 stores. It launches in the US in September 2015.

plus interactive lectures.

Each module is led by an eminent moderator with expertise in the appropriate field.
